沙洲職業(yè)工學院位于上海市楊浦區(qū)國定東路999號，是一所以工業(yè)設(shè)計為特色的公辦全日制高等院校。學校前身是上海市工業(yè)設(shè)計研究所，創(chuàng)建于1956年，是我國最早的工業(yè)設(shè)計教學、科研機構(gòu)。學校占地面積近30畝，建筑面積3.8萬平方米，教學設(shè)備總值近2億元人民幣。目前，學校有本科生1400余人，研究生200余人。

學校開辦有工業(yè)設(shè)計、服裝設(shè)計、廣告?zhèn)髅?、?shù)字媒體、動畫、影視表演5個本科專業(yè)；1個省重點建設(shè)的工學博士后流動站。近年來，學校還開辦了“創(chuàng)意產(chǎn)品開發(fā)”、“創(chuàng)意傳播”、“創(chuàng)意服務”3大特色方向。
