例句（錯(cuò)誤例句）：

Divorce is more common.

離婚是更加常見(jiàn)的。

解析：這句話感覺(jué)上還OK，但是它缺少一個(gè)跟誰(shuí)比的問(wèn)題，也就是說(shuō)，離婚這個(gè)現(xiàn)象更加常見(jiàn)，如果你有一個(gè)more這個(gè)詞的話，往往后面就有一個(gè)more than跟它連用。

那我們來(lái)看下面改好的這個(gè)句子：

Divorce is more common than it was one generation ago.

解析：離婚這個(gè)現(xiàn)象是更加常見(jiàn)了，比曾經(jīng)一代人之前。用的是過(guò)去式It was，所以在這句話中，我們表達(dá)得很準(zhǔn)確了。

所以同學(xué)們一定要記住，當(dāng)你想用比較級(jí)的時(shí)候，一定是more than這兩個(gè)詞一起來(lái)用，這樣比較級(jí)才能是正確的。

serve這個(gè)看似簡(jiǎn)單的詞，實(shí)際上用法非常多，做及物動(dòng)詞，不及物動(dòng)詞，在不同的語(yǔ)境當(dāng)中，表達(dá)的意思可以完全不一樣，建議大家在看英文解析時(shí)，也多看看例句。

former & latter ：前者，和后者。注意這兩詞在使用時(shí)，一定是剛剛提到2樣?xùn)|西，或者觀點(diǎn)等等，在緊接著的表述中，為了避免重復(fù)，用former指代先提到的，latter指代后提到的。
